Premiered on LA/Miami record label 10K ISLANDS, Bad Wave is throwing us back in time with their latest single Runaway; warping to the 1980's when synthpop filled the airwaves with an audibly modern, indie rock twist!
Coming in strong with lyrical dexterity, sun-drenched synths, and vocals reminiscent of Phoenix and Two Door Cinema Club, Los Angeles duo Bad Wave have struck a home run. As the second single from the best friend twosome, Runaway has every element needed to become the next big, indie-pop hit. Everything from the psychedelic chorus to the rolling bassline and vocal progressions is perfectly in sync; a harmonized sound that is rarely heard from such a newly incepted band. While Runaway has it's fair share of girl-based angst hidden within the lyrics, the tune has an infectious beat and contemporary finish that will undoubtedly leave you longing for more!
Composed of lead man Tucker Tota and guitarist Patrick Hart, Bad Wave have pulled us in for the long haul and we can only warn you that once you get sucked in, there's no running away!
