Need something literally 'feel good' to pump up your weekend? repel the robot are here to satisfy that craving. The Dallas-based twosome deliver an upbeat potion of alt-rock progressions and soaring post-punk melodies in their latest single Feels Damn Good!
Off of the forthcoming EP [AKA], Feels Damn Good showcases repel the robot's unfettered attachment to downtempo, indie jams. Released February 1st, about a year after their more chilled-out, surf track This Time Tomorrow, FDG exhibits fast-paced electric guitar riffs alongside synthpop sensations. The track bears resemblance to bands like Color Palette & Portugal. The Man; moving it's listener with on-point vocals and raw, unbridled energy one would find scouring taverns across North America. While repel the robot have a classic, industrial approach to production, they clearly manage to keep it modern with synthpads permeating the incredibly uplifting soundscape!
Feels Damn Good is the first of two singles to drop before the release of [AKA]; followed by the official video for their second single Rebirth out February 9th. Check out repel the robot at their social spots below and stay tuned for [AKA] coming to your soundsystem February 19th!
