AN ECOSYSTEM OF SOUND

"OTHERWAYS" | NONA

July 11, 2016

A master songwriter and (essentially) a one man band, NONA (aka. Michael Goldman) is a Los Angeleno who pours personal feeling into his music. The singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist released Otherways last week, a song inspired by a "failed attempt at a relationship." An indie rock banger, Otherways is driven by passionate instrumentals and Goldman's heartfelt and truthful lyrics.

As an active musician in the LA music scene, Goldman can frequently be found performing alongside such names as Meg Myers, Goldroom, and The Moth & Flame. In addition to his collaborative pursuits, he began releasing his own solo material under the alias NONA in past years. While his previous singles were acoustically heavy, NONA is back with a fully orchestrated original; completely written, performed, and recorded by himself (with the exception of the drums - played by friend Sam Gallagher). Although Otherways is just the first from NONA's upcoming debut EP, he's already managed to capture the essence of LA's popular indie rock arena while incorporating his own unique and intimate sound into the genre. Listen to Otherways in the Soundcloud player below and dive into NONA's newest release!
