Slow-burning and introspective in all the right ways, October Glow's latest single New Casio is a stunning embodiment of emotional electronica.
From the mind of Essex-based producer October Glow (aka. Joe Thomas), New Casio evokes a familiar yet distinct sound that fans of Catching Flies & Caribou will find quite comforting. Complemented by a submerged bassline, protracted vocals, and futuristic synth, the track sits within a limbo of post-club obscurity; reflective of the unabated life of a 20-something raver. It's distant and wistful soundscape transports the listener to a sound dimension of autotuned vocals and reverberating beats that sits somewhere between chillstep and abstract electronic music.
Released through singles label Sweet Release Records, New Casio is the second of two singles from October Glow within the past year (his first, Cellar Door, can be heard here). Check out October Glow at his social spots below and be sure to grab New Casio at iTunes here!
